Short Description: This ACACa Sandwich ELISA Kit, Ready-To-Use is an in-vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the measurement of samples in mouse cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma (EDTA, citrate, heparin).
Storage Instruction: The whole kit may be stored at-20°C for up to 12 months from receipt. An unopened kit may be stored in the fridge at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. Once opened store individual kit contents according to components table provided with the kit.

Tissue Specificity
Post Translational Modifications Phosphorylation on Ser-1262 is required for interaction with BRCA1. Phosphorylation at Ser-79 by AMPK inactivates enzyme activity. The biotin cofactor is covalently attached to the central biotinyl-binding domain and is required for the catalytic activity.
Function Cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the first and rate-limiting step of de novo fatty acid biosesynthesis. This is a 2 steps reaction starting with the ATP-dependent carboxylation of the biotin carried by the biotin carboxyl carrier (BCC) domain followed by the transfer of the carboxyl group from carboxylated biotin to acetyl-CoA.
