Immunoreactivity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CDH6 at 1 Mu g/mL (100 Mu L/well) can bind CDH6 Mouse mAb with a linear range of 0.05-6.31 ng/mL.

Immunogen: Recombinant Human CDH6/K-Cadherin Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Thr 19-Ala 615 ) of human K-Cadherin (Accession #NP_004923.1) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Tissue Specificity Highly expressed in brain, cerebellum, and kidney. Lung, pancreas, and gastric mucosa show a weak expression. Also expressed in certain liver and kidney carcinomas.
Function Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells.cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.
